Lighthouse Canton Says It Successfully Closed India Private Credit Investment

The Singapore-headquartered firm said the deal demonstrates how it provides bespoke financing solutions for Indian businesses.

Lighthouse Canton, which oversees more than $6 billion in assets under management, has  closed an INR1,050 million ($11 million) private credit investment via an India-based structure and other entities.

The organisation made the investment in Emerald Leisures Ltd through the Category II Alternative Investment Fund (AIF), the LC Luminere Credit Fund, and affiliate entities.

Emerald Leisures, which is listed in India on the BSE exchange, is a leisure and hospitality company that owns and operates Club Emerald, a sport, hospitality and recreational destination in Mumbai.

Lighthouse Canton said the transaction adds to its record of providing tailor-made financing solutions for established Indian businesses. Its asset management business works with ultra-high net worth individuals, family offices, institutional investors and global investors. Capabilities cover private credit, growth debt, venture capital, real estate private equity, public equities and global macro hedge fund strategies. It has offices in Singapore, Dubai, India, and London.

Late in July the business launched a dedicated wealth platform for Non-Resident Investors. Lighthouse Canton has set out its international expansion strategy to this publication in recent years.
