Knight Frank Names Asia-Pacific ESG Head

The newly-appointed figure, who has worked for the firm since April 2022, is based in Singapore.

Knight Frank, the global real estate consultancy, has appointed Jackie Cheung as director of ESG for Asia-Pacific and Singapore.

Based in Singapore, Cheung has worked at the firm since April 2022. He reports to Tim Armstrong, global head of occupier strategy and solutions and to Low Kin Hon, deputy chief executive officer and head, valuation and advisory, Knight Frank Singapore.

In his new role, Cheung will lead ESG efforts in Asia-Pacific and Singapore and provide insights and advisory services related to ESG factors across different countries to the firm's clients. Internally, Cheung will integrate ESG considerations into corporate decision-making to foster sustainable growth across the region. From July 2018 to April 2022 he was a senior climate change and sustainability technology officer at TownGas, The Hong Kong and China Gas Company.

In another recent appointment, Knight Frank India appointed Harry Chaplin-Rogers as director of International Capital Markets.

Knight Frank’s annual overview of global wealth trends is one of several such studies. In late February, it said rising markets in 2023 helped lift the world’s total population of ultra-high net worth individuals by 4.2 per cent. That shift reversed the drop in 2022 when markets fell amidst higher interest rates. The total number of UHNW individuals stood at 626,619 from 601,300 a year earlier.
