Julius Baer Promotes From HQ For Asia And ME CRO

The Swiss private banking group Julius Baer has named Peter Siber as chief risk officer for Asia and the Middle East. He was previously head of credit advisory and structuring and deputy group head of credit at the bank’s Zurich headquarters.

The bank sees this move as in line with its commitment to grow Asia as its “second home market.”

Based now in Singapore, Siber is also a member of the executive committee for Asia and the Middle East and head of the risk committee for Singapore. He reports regionally to Dr Thomas Meier, chief executive for Asia and the Middle East, and functionally to Bernhard Hodler, group chief risk officer.
