Japanese Tech Provider Scoops Goldmans Exec

TORA, the Tokyo-based electronic trading, technology and financial services provider, has hired a head of sales for Singapore.

Momoko Itoh has been appointed as the head of sales in Singapore, reporting to Chris Jenkins, managing director, Asia-Pacific.

She joins from Goldman Sachs in Tokyo where she has over 11 years of
experience in investment management, predominantly in Japan.

She has been mandated to expand the company’s presence in Singapore and South East Asia, and sell TORA Compass™, the company’s execution and order management system for buy-side institutions, and TORA’s product suite.

“Singapore is an important hedge fund centre in Asia for onshore and offshore funds, including a significant number of Japanese offshore funds,” said Jenkins.
