Investment Manager Appointed At Hong Kong's Optimizer Capital, New Funds Planned

Optimizer Capital has celebrated the start of the Chinese New Year with the appointment of an investment manager in an attempt to boost its fortunes.

Optimizer Capital has celebrated the start of the Chinese New Year with the appointment of an investment manager in an attempt to boost its fortunes.

Graham Bibby will lead all of Optimizer capital funds at the Hong Kong-based investment advisory firm, as well as launching two new funds based on a newly-developed strategy which returned 32.70 per cent last year.

While one fund will mirror this strategy, the second will use leverage based on its mechanics.

His appointment follows a dismal three years for Optimizer Capital funds; its growth funds suffered muted results under its previous sub-manager. Born in the Chinese year of the horse in 1954, Bibby moves back into the financial world after leaving in 2011 to write a series of financial advice books.

“This is once again the Chinese year of the horse, and this year the horse will run with the bulls," he said in a statement.

Bibby started his five-year agreement with Optimizer on Tuesday, bringing with him his 30-year experience in the financial markets.

He previously founded Richmond Asset Management, the boutique financial advisory firm that advises Optimizer Capital’s managed funds. His book, Master Your Mind, Master Your Money, is due to be released worldwide in the upcoming weeks. It is the first in his Empowering You series.
