International Law Firm Adds Partner To Hong Kong Office

US law firm Orrick names 15 new partners worldwide, including Keith Cheung for Hong Kong.

Orrick, the US-headquartered law firm, has named a new partner for its corporate group in Hong Kong.

Keith Cheung will focus on corporate finance transactions, including acting for issuers, sponsors and underwriters in initial public offerings of securities on the Main Board and Growth Enterprise Market of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. He will also advise listed issuers on general compliance and other related transactions.

The appointment was announced alongside the hire of 14 other new partners in the firm's nine offices in the US, France and Germany. In a statement, Orrick said this reflects its greater focus on energy and infrastructure, finance, technology and high-stakes litigation.

The Hong Kong office also houses the dedicated China, Korea and Vietnam practices, which works closely with lawyers at the Tokyo and international offices. Combined with its Beijing and Shanghai branches, the company's Greater China team includes more than 100 lawyers and legal specialists.
