International Law Firm's Revenues Rise, Adds Raft Of Partners

The law firm, which operates in fields such as private client work, among others, has unveiled a slew of new partners as well as reporting results for its latest financial year.

International law firm Withers has announced a raft of promotions to the status of partner and also reported it logged an eight per cent rise in revenues for its 2016-2017 financial year, standing at £174.5 million.

Profits for the financial year are still being calculated, Withers said.

The eight new partners, whose status takes effect from 1 July, are: Wei Zhang, Private Client & Tax, Hong Kong; Claire Christy, Employment, London; Claire Harris, Private Client & Tax, London; Ed Jarron, Private Client & Tax, London; Peter Lamb, Real Estate, London; Eleni Polycarpou, Dispute Resolution and Arbitration, London; Constance Shields, Private Client & Tax, New Haven, Connecticut; Graham Webster, Corporate, London, and Wei Zhang, Private Client & Tax, Hong Kong.

“Their [the partners] appointments are well-deserved and stand the firm in good stead for its future growth. In Asia, tax and wealth planning lawyer Wei Zhang's promotion will further compliment Withers' strategy to expand our expertise in Greater China and to better service the business needs of our clients in the region,” Margaret Robertson, CEO of Withers, said.
