Indosuez WM Bolsters Asia Presence

Indosuez Wealth Management, the global wealth management arm of Crédit Agricole Group, is bolstering its wealth and investment team in Asia with two senior appointments, as it expands across the region.
Indosuez Wealth Management has announced that Muriel Aboud Schirmann, head of Advisory and Capital Markets in Switzerland, will be relocating from Geneva to Singapore as of 1 August 2026. The move underscores the firm’s commitment to offering wealth solutions to its high net worth and UHNW clients across the region.
Relocating the global management of Indosuez’s Advisory Solutions and Capital Markets to its Asia headquarters in Singapore reflects the private bank’s commitment to Asia’s wealth creation and rapid growth.
In a complementary move to bolster its investment management capabilities, Indosuez has appointed Louis Shen as head of Discretionary Portfolio Management (DPM) for Asia. He is joining from Nomura, where led the DPM team.
In this newly-created position, Shen will be responsible for accelerating performance-oriented portfolio management for clients seeking a structured, customised approach to managing their wealth.
By anchoring top-tier decision-making, market access, and tailored advisory capabilities in Asia – the centre of accelerating client demand – Indosuez said it is strengthening its global leadership in one of the world’s most dynamic growth regions. The move will deepen the nexus between Europe and Asia as clients increasingly seek sophisticated, cross-border financial solutions.
“Asia is where the world’s most dynamic and rapidly [expanding] markets are today, and staying ahead of our clients' needs requires both localised expertise and cross-border decision-making,” Laurent Proutière, chief executive officer Asia, Indosuez Wealth Management, said.
“Bringing Muriel in her senior leadership role from Switzerland to Singapore, alongside the creation of the new head of DPM role in Louis, marks a significant milestone in our ambitions,” Proutière added. “Together, these moves significantly enhance our investment management ecosystem, ensuring our clients gain immediate access to top-tier advisory, institutional discretionary solutions, and private market opportunities right here in Asia.”
Aboud Schirmann began her career at Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank and has more than two decades of experience in financial services. She joined Indosuez in Switzerland in 2009, where she held senior investment and advisory positions leading teams in various specialisations across multiple products and asset classes. She reports into Laurent Fradin, head of Wealth Solutions, Switzerland for Indosuez Wealth Management.
Shen brings nearly 20 years of financial services experience, including more than 13 years of experience in discretionary portfolio management at leading financial institutions including UOB Private Bank, Nomura and EFG. He reports to Su Qian, head of Investment Management, Asia.
