Hywin Holdings Unveils IPO Terms

The company provides wealth management services, insurance brokerage services, and asset management services to its clients, and its largest business to date has been in wealth management.

Hywin Holdings, which provides wealth management services, has announced terms for its initial public offering late last week, reports said.

The Shanghai, China-based company plans to raise $46 million by offering 4.2 million American depository shares at a price range of $10 to $12. At the midpoint of the proposed range, Hywin Holdings would command a market value of $321 million, a report by Renaissance Capital, and mentioned in other reports, said.

The report said Hywin states it is the third largest third-party wealth management service provider in China, with a 7.5 per cent market share by 2019 transaction value. The company provides wealth management services, insurance brokerage services, and asset management services to its clients, and its largest business to date has been in wealth management.

Last year, Madame Wang Dian, CEO of Hywin Wealth, talked to this news service about how it worked with Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

In July 2019 Liechtenstein’s VP Bank said it planned to build a joint wealth management platform in Hong Kong with Hywin Wealth Management (China). In 2017, Hywin Capital (UK), part of Hywin Holdings, bought Azure Wealth, a UK-based wealth management house, adding to its roster of activities in this sector across mainland China, Hong Kong, the US and UK. This is an example of how such Chinese organisations are building wealth management business pacts around the world.
