Hurley Partners Recruits From Brown Shipley For Manchester Expansion

Independently-owned Hurley Partners has hired a former Brown Shipley director for its launch in Manchester.

Hurley Partners, the UK-based investment management and pensions business, has appointed Julius Manduell to spearhead its new Manchester office.

Manduell joins as a director and shareholder of Hurley Partners, which was founded in 2013 by Brown Shipley's former executive director Tony Hurley, chief executive officer Paul Cody, and chief investment officer Paul Harwood.

Manduell brings over 25 years' industry experience and formerly led Brown Shipley's investment teams in Manchester and Leeds.

“We are absolutely delighted that Julius has committed himself to us in the North West,” said Hurley Partners' chief executive, Cody.

“He is very well known and connected throughout the region: he shares our values of long-term client relationships and performance whilst giving something back to local communities.”

The business described its expansion into Manchester as “a serious strategic initiative” and the “start of a new era”. It added that further appointments were planned in the region.

Hurley Partners, which is based in Surrey, currently looks after over £340 million ($527 million) in client assets.
