Howden Names Thailand Chief Client Officer

The insurance business operates in 55 countries, covers areas including private client work.
Howden, the global insurance intermediary group covering areas including private wealth, yesterday said it had appointed Marut Pommalee as the new chief client officer for Thailand.
Pommalee has been managing director at Sabuy Maxi, a strategic joint venture which Howden set up in 2021. He brings more than 25 years’ experience in the insurance industry, with expertise that spans managing corporate clients, SMEs, and global insurers.
Jittiwut Sasibutra is CEO of Howden Thailand. Founded in 1994, Howden now operates in 55 countries.
In February 2025, it appointed former Marsh Asia figure Steve Hutchinson as chief broking officer in its Hong Kong business. In December 2024, as part of a senior reshuffle, Howden named Rohan Bhappu as deputy CEO, Howden Asia. Once he has completed his existing contractual obligations to his employer, Bhappu will be taking up the role at the start of June.
In November 2024, Howden acquired Hong Kong-based Storfield Insurance Consultants, a specialist in general insurance for small-to-medium sized enterprises and high net worth clients. In March, Howden promoted two figures to join its private wealth management team: Bryan Pee and Shirley Sy.
