Hong Kong-based portfolio manager Focus Capital Partners widens its fund offering with a new emerging markets focussed product.

Focus Capital Partners Asset Management, the Hong Kong portfolio management firm, has launched a new fund that focusses on emerging markets.

Focus Capital Partners Local Emerging Markets Debt Fund invests in sovereign and corporate debt denominated in the currency of the issuer. It will be managed by the same team that heads the Focus Capital Partners Emerging Markets Debt Fund, led by Brian Giang.

"Local markets have deepened and become more liquid. As a result of the economic policies developing in emerging market countries, the investor base has diversified beyond the conventional domestic banking sector to include foreign and local institutions, including pension plans, hedge funds and insurance firms," said Giang in a statement. 

Focus Capital Partners offers a range of alternative investments, separately managed accounts, closed-end funds and mutual funds through its dedicated wealth management division.
