Hong Kong Bank Adds To Board

This publication brings latest appointments and moves in the Asia-Pacific wealth management market.

BOC Hong Kong has added two non-executive directors to its board, the Asian bank announced yesterday. 

The appointees are Ren Deqi, who is chairman of the bank’s strategy and budget committee and member of the risk committee, and Xu Luode, member of the remuneration and budget committees.

Both appointments took effect yesterday, the bank said.  

Ren has been executive vice president of Bank of China since July 2014. Prior to joining Bank of China in May 2014, Ren worked at China Construction Bank for many years, holding various positions. 

Prior to joining Bank of China in April 2015, Xu served as chairman of Shanghai Gold Exchange from August 2013 to April 2015. From August 2007 to August 2013, he served as the vice chairman of the board of directors and president of China UnionPay.
