Hong Kong's Value Partners Names Client Portfolio Management Co-Head
The newly-appointed figure has more than 15 years' financial sector experience, most recently at BlackRock.
Hong Kong-listed Value Partners Group has named former senior BlackRock figure Ricky Tang as managing director, co-head of client portfolio management.
Tang is responsible for the product strategy of the group’s fixed income and multi-asset capabilities. He also serves as co-head of client portfolio management, alongside co-head Frank Tsui.
Based in Hong Kong, Tang reports to group chairman and co-chief investment officer Louis So, and president, June Wong.
With more than 15 years’ experience in the financial sector, Tang was most recently a director, multi-asset investment strategist at Blackrock. Before that, he was the deputy head of multi-asset product, North Asia at Schroders. He started his investment career at BEA Union Investment. Tang holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a bachelor’s degree in engineering, both from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He is a CFA charter holder, a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) charter holder, as well as a holder of the Professional Risk Manager (PRM) designation.
