HSBC Qianhai Securities officially launches its margin financing business to strengthen its wealth management services.

HSBC Qianhai Securities, a China-based joint venture securities company, has just launched its margin financing business for high net worth and ultra-high net worth customers in mainland China.

The launch of the margin financing business enhances HSBC Qianhai’s wealth management services, the firm said in a statement. The offering reflects the deep understanding HSBC Qianhai has of its clients’ investment needs, and its aim to provide clients with China securities services including brokerage trading, margin financing, and investment research. HSBC Qianhai has built a system and an efficient trading platform to support the business, using HSBC Group’s international strengths and experience across markets.

The margin financing business launch also marks a new chapter for HSBC in the mainland China market. It reflects HSBC Group’s commitment to expanding its market share in the China onshore market and providing professional, diversified and customised services to high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients.
