HSBC Global Private Banking Names Chief Operating Officer, Asia-Pacific

The new COO, who has spent more than 15 years in private banking, has a strong track record with the bank during his time spent at HSBC Global Private Banking in Europe and Asia.

HSBC Global Private Banking has appointed Benoit Douchin as chief operating officer, Global Private Banking, Asia-Pacific, effective 21 July 2025.

Douchin (pictured) has been COO ad interim and a key contributor in deploying the Global Private Banking (GPB) Asia operating model and strategy, the firm said in a statement.

Douchin will continue to ensure GPB Asia is well positioned to deliver its agenda, specifically focusing on the bank’s operational capabilities and efficiency, technology platform and digital journeys. His experience at GPB will help ensure that processes, procedures, and service delivery are aligned and will improve client experience, the bank said.

Douchin will report to Lok Yim, regional head of Global Private Banking, Asia Pacific, Jean Nabaa, COO, International Wealth and Premier Banking and COO, Global Private Banking & Wealth and Premier Solutions.

Douchin, who has a wealth of experience, spent more than 15 years in private banking. He also has a track record with HSBC during his time within GPB in Europe and Asia.
