HKMA not overwhelmed by banking complaints

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority has been publicising the progress it has been making in its handling of banking complaints. These include cases concerning general banking services and conduct issues.

For conduct-related issues, 177 were in progress on 30th April, while 175 were in progress on 31st May - a drop of 2. This means that 13 were received in May and 15 were dealt with. For general banking services, 281 were in progress at the start and 306 were in progress at the end. This means that 105 complaints were received in May and 80 had been dealt with.
