Guernsey Finance Appoints First-Ever Middle East Representative

Zoe Cousens will be an on-the-ground presence for the promotional agency as it enhances its focus on the Middle East.
Guernsey Finance, the promotional agency for the offshore jurisdiction’s finance industry internationally, has appointed Zoe Cousens as its first representative in the Middle East.
Based in Dubai, Cousens will help promote Guernsey’s financial services industry in the Middle East, acting as an on-the-ground presence for the agency and the main point of contact for regional firms and clients interested in the island.
Cousens will assist in hosting and arranging meetings, seminars or events for Guernsey businesses visiting the region, taking on these duties on a part-time basis while heading up Castellet Consulting DWC, a financial consultancy business she set up to promote the range of Guernsey-based financial services available to Middle Eastern clients. Within her 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, Cousens has served as a board member of an investment company in the Dubai International Finance Centre.
“The creation of this role reflects the increasing focus on the Middle East region of many Guernsey businesses and forms part of our wider strategy internationally. Zoë is well known in the Guernsey finance environment and has a breadth of knowledge gained over the last 30 years working in the industry. This commitment to the region can only be seen as a positive for business prospects and the further development of Guernsey relationships in the Middle East,” said Guernsey Finance's chief executive, Dominic Wheatley.
