Gore Browne Investment Management Recruits Two From Barclays Wealth

Gore Browne Investment Management, the UK-based discretionary private client investment manager, has strengthened its investment team with two new hires from Barclays Wealth.

GBIM has recruited Chris Rogers and Simon Jackson from Barclays Wealth to work as investment managers at its primary office in Salisbury. The pair have worked together for several years and both have over 20 years worth of experience working with private client portfolios, the firm said in a statement. In their new roles Rogers and Jackson will primarily be managing discretionary private client portfolios.

The new appointments will boost GBIM’s investment team to nine, which currently includes three former employees of Cazenove Capital Management.

“These appointments form an important step forward for our plan to expand the business substantially but carefully, and with the right people over the next decade,” said Simon James, founding partner of GBIM.

GBIM, founded in 2004, currently has £120 million ($197.3 million) in assets under management.
