Sotheby's has named a new head of wine for its Asia business.

Global auction house Sotheby’s has appointed Adam Bilbey as head of its wine segment in the Asia region. He takes over from Robert Sleigh, who is taking on a new role in Sotheby’s management team in Asia.

Based in Hong Kong, Bilbey will lead Sotheby’s Wine, driving the company’s wine auction and retail businesses throughout the region, it said in a statement.  

Bilbey previously worked for 12 years at Berry Bros & Rudd, most recently holding the post of sales director in Hong Kong.
