Former Senior Infosys Executive Off To Help Run Family Office In India - Report

One of the top figures at India’s IT giant Infosys is to start helping its chief executive run the latter’s family office business.

One of the top figures at India’s IT giant Infosys is to start helping its chief executive run the latter’s family office business, media reports said.

V Ganapathy Subramanian, who till very recently was formulating and implementing planning and strategy at the firm, has taken on the role of working for the family office of S D Shibulal. The office is called Innovations Investment Management India, according to the Business Standard publication.

Subramanian had held the title of head of planning and strategy at Infosys.

In Infosys' recent management changes, the planning role went to Deepak Padaki, while Ranganath D Mavinakere handles corporate strategy functions, among others. Shibulal is to retire soon as CEO of Infosys, the report said.

The report said that Subramanian, who joined Infosys in 2005, confirmed he was leaving the firm but gave few other details.

A recent report by Credit Suisse said that in Asia, while it accounted for around a quarter of the world’s ultra high net worth individuals, it only held 3 per cent of all known single family offices, suggesting upside potential for growth in the sector is huge, given that many firms in the region are family-owned.
