Former Senior DBS Manager Named Tech Firm CEO
An Asian business that provides an open messaging network and data for structured products has been hired as CEO. The organisation has a raft of major banks in its network.
Contineo, the Asian messaging network and data provider for structured products, has tapped a former senior DBS figure to be its chief executive.
Antoine de Charnacé replaces Mark Munoz who, after three years leading Contineo from an early-stage start-up to a successful revenue generating network business, has stepped down to focus on other business opportunities. Munoz will remain with Contineo over a transition period, the firm said. He is based in Hong Kong.
David Wood, Contineo board member and Societe Generale managing director, said Mr. Munoz had been instrumental in the launch and successful delivery of Contineo, taking the initial idea for an industry standard structured products network and building it into a fast-growing, successful business.
Prior to this appointment, de Charnacé was EAM desk head at DBS, a role he held from December 2016; before this, he was head of equity advisory and structured solutions. Earlier in his career he worked in several roles at Societe Generale.
“Under Mark’s guidance Contineo has grown significantly, doubling the number of subscribers in the last year alone. Alongside the recently established partnership with a new investor, Mark has built a solid foundation for Contineo’s future,” David Wood said. (Contineo is an open messaging network for private banks and wealth management firms, and network participants include Julius Baer, Barclays, BNP Paribas, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, JP Morgan and Societe Generale.)
