Swiss management consultant Solution Providers has appointed Dr Mario Bassi as managing director and head of Asia.

Dr Bassi takes up his new position on 15 July 2010 from Deutsche Bank Singapore, where he was the managing director and head of strategy and business development for the Asia Pacific region. He succeeds Beat Latanzio, who will return to Solution Providers in Switzerland.

In a statement, the company said that Dr Bassi's appointment emphasises the firm's commitment to support its European clients in their Asian expansion, as well as broaden its client base in the Asian region.

Solution Providers said it is particularly interested in the so-called Asian megatrends, such as wealth creation, financial market growth, and wealth activation.
