Former Citi Figure To Head HSBC's International Wealth Hub In Singapore

HSBC has stated its desire to be Singapore's leading international bank for offshore and onshore clients along the wealth spectrum.

HSBC has appointed former Citigroup figure Jil Chin (pictured) as new head of international wealth hub for Singapore. Krist Wong previously held the role, a spokesperson told this news service when asked about the matter.

Chin reports to Ashmita Acharaya, who is head of international wealth and premier banking, HSBC Singapore.

This news service has contacted HSBC to ask if Chin is taking on a newly-formed role and may update in due course.

Prior to this, Chin was Citigold and Citigold private client banking director for wealth management at Citibank Singapore.

“Our ambition is to be Singapore’s leading international bank for both onshore and offshore clients across the wealth continuum. A comprehensive hub for wealth and asset management, Singapore has one of the fastest retail offshore AuM growth [rates] globally,” Acharya said.
