Former BoS Senior Figure Becomes UBP's New North Asia Head, Hong Kong CEO
The Geneva-headquartered bank names a new top-level figure for its North Asia business. She has a background at a number of firms, including Bank of Singapore, Standard Chartered, and ABN AMRO.
Union Bancaire Privée has appointed former Bank of Singapore senior figure Teresa Lee as region head for North Asia and chief executive for Hong Kong. She is succeeding Ivan Wong; UBP announced his decision to retire early this May.
At Bank of Singapore, Lee was head of the Greater China business and later vice chair for Greater China. She was also relationship manager head, China, at Standard Chartered, and team head at ABN AMRO’s private bank. Lee holds a bachelor of business from the University of Technology Sydney.
In other roles, Lee has actively supported Hong Kong's wealth management sector, notably as the former chair of the Wealth Management Sub-Committee at the Family Office Association of Hong Kong. She also chaired The Women's Network at Bank of Singapore with a variety of initiatives designed to build a diverse workplace and foster a positive work culture with lasting impact on the community.
"Her appointment aligns with our ambitious plans to accelerate business development in North Asia and reaffirms our confidence in Hong Kong as a leading global wealth management hub,” Michael Blake (pictured below), CEO Asia, said.
