MF Global, the New-York listed broker dealing in global cash and derivatives, has appointed

Peter Forlenza as global head of equities.

Mr Forlenza will oversee MF Global’s worldwide equities team. He will be responsible for managing the company’s equity and equity derivatives business across all customers and product lines, including cash, direct market access, equity derivative and exchange-traded funds activities.

Prior to this appointment Mr Forlenza created and launched Outpost Investment Group, a multi-asset class global macro hedge fund based in New York. He also served in a number of management positions at Bank of America Securities, including global head of equities and global head of cash equities.

Formerly Man Financial, MF Global was renamed when it was demerged from UK listed hedge fund manager Man Group in 2007.

MF Global provides execution and clearing services for exchange-traded and over-the-counter derivative products as well as for non-derivative foreign exchange products and securities in the cash market.
