Richard Thornburgh, the former head of Credit Suisse Asset Management and private client services, is to join Corsair Capital, a private equity firm recently spun off from JPMorgan.

Earlier Mr Thornburgh was reported by WealthBriefing as having left Credit Suisse, although it was not known at the time which firm he was joining.

Corsair, which specializes in financial services investments, has been involved in investing about $1 billion in banks, insurers, asset managers, specialty lenders, and other companies globally.
