Ex-Credit Suisse Senior Figure Joins Bank Of Singapore For Greater China Role

The Singapore-based bank has made two senior appointments for its Greater China business.

Bank of Singapore has appointed former Credit Suisse figure Rickie Chan as private banking head for Greater China. BoS has also named Teresa Lee, who is currently head of Greater of China, Hong Kong branch, as vice chair for Greater China.

Both appointments will take effect from 15 February 2024.

Chan will be a member of the bank’s management committee, reporting to Bank of Singapore chief executive Jason Moo. Lee will report functionally to Moo, BoS said in a statement yesterday.

Lee will work closely with Chan to build strategies for growing BoS business in the Greater China region, particularly deepening relationships with ultra-high net worth individuals and families.

Chan has more than 26 years of experience in private banking, wealth management and capital markets. He was previously CEO of the Hong Kong branch at Credit Suisse and the head of global wealth management, Greater China. Chan also served in several senior leadership roles at Barclays Bank and Goldman Sachs private bank in Hong Kong.

Last week, this publication reported a senior move at OCBC, the parent of Bank of Singapore.
