EXCLUSIVE: Credit Suisse In Singapore Adds To Private Banking Team In Singapore

A trio of private bankers has been appointed by Credit Suisse in Singapore from rivals.

Credit Suisse has appointed a number of private bankers in Singapore from rival banks in the past few weeks, this publication has learned.

Vivian Tan, a private banker at HSBC Private Bank, has joined the Zurich-listed bank in the city-state.

Cheryl Cher has joined Credit Suisse – she had previously worked at UBS. David Wang, formerly of Morgan Stanley, has also joined the bank in its Singapore office.

The bank declined to comment when contacted by this publication seeking specific details on these persons’ roles.

In early September, Credit Suisse appointed Benjamin Cavalli as managing director and market area head, Southeast Asia and head of Singapore location for private banking in the Asia-Pacific region, starting from 1 October. Cavalli replaced Claudio de Sanctis, who moved to Credit Suisse’s Private Banking EMEA region as head of private banking Northern and Eastern Europe.
