EFG Bank In Hong Kong Names Compliance Chief

The appointee has held senior roles at UBS and JP Morgan, with a career spanning more than 25 years.

EFG Bank’s branch in Hong Kong has recruited Connie Hui as its new compliance head for North Asia. She joins from UBS where she held compliance leadership roles in its asset management business. 

Hui has been in private banking and asset management for more than 25 years. At UBS she was Asia-Pacific head of asset management compliance and operational risk control and group head of compliance and operational risk control in Hong Kong. She was head of private banking compliance for JP Morgan and prior to this, worked for Hong Kong’s Securities and Futures Commission.

“This key hire further reiterates EFG’s commitment to operate responsibly, taking into consideration the best interests of all our stakeholders.” Kees Stoute, chief executive of EFG Hong Kong branch,” said. 
Hui, who is based in Hong Kong, reports to Stoute.
