Deutsche Names New Hong Kong Country Head
The lender has announced a change in one of its most senior roles in Asia.
Deutsche Bank has named a new chief country officer for Hong Kong, Lok Yim.
Yim takes on this new position in addition to his current role as head of wealth management for Asia-Pacific. He replaces Peter Lo, who is retiring from Deutsche Bank after 15 years, the Germany-headquartered lender said in a statement late last week.
In his new role, Yim will report to Werner Steinmüller, CEO for Asia-Pacific at Deutsche Bank, and will continue to report to global head of wealth management, Fabrizio Campelli. He will be responsible for the management and governance of all of the bank’s business and operations in Hong Kong.
“Having been with Deutsche Bank for over 10 years, and in Hong Kong for over 15 years, Lok has a deep understanding of both our bank and this market. His experience, market expertise, clients-first approach, and leadership skills will be crucial in further strengthening our Hong Kong business,” Steinmüller said.
