DeAWM Makes Senior Hire For East Coast, Texas

Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management has made a senior hire in New York, recruiting from Bessemer Trust.

Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management has hired Audie Apple as an investment specialist within its private bank's investment solutions group.

Based in New York, Apple is a director and reports to Todd Stevens, head of the investment solutions group for DeAWM in the Americas. He will be responsible for UHNW investment solutions on the East Coast and in Texas.

Before joining DeAWM, Apple was a managing director and senior resident officer at Bessemer Trust. Earlier, he was managing director at Bernstein Global Wealth Management, a unit of AllianceBernstein, where he worked for 14 years. He also spent nine years at Principal Financial Group, where he held senior roles in its asset management business in the US and Latin America.

Over the past year, DeAWM has expanded its private banking presence in several key markets including the West Coast, Texas, Miami, and Latin America. Private bank hires have included Lee Hutter, who was appointed as head of the US western region last September, and Mark Laroe, who was hired to start the Dallas private banking office. In addition, DeAWM hired private banking teams in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles throughout 2014.
