DWS Appoints Head Of Japan Coverage
The firm has had an office in Japan since the mid-1980s.
DWS has appointed Hiroki Wiesheu as president and head of coverage, Japan from 1 November. Hiroki will be reporting to Vanessa Wang, Asia-Pacific head and APAC coverage head.
Hiroki was previously at Metzler Asset Management Japan, where he was president and CEO, serving as a board member at Metzler-Payden and Metzler Realty Advisors in the US. Before this, he worked in M&A and equity advisory at Rothschild in Frankfurt. He has also been with the equity capital markets business at Commerzbank in London and Frankfurt.
Germany-based DWS group has been present in Japan since 1985 when it first set up an office.
“Japanese investors are known to be frontier investors especially in new areas of opportunities in robo-advisory, sustainability and tokenization. We look forward to offering investment solutions to meet their needs for the future,” Wang said.
