Credit Suisse Reportedly Eyeing Increase In Bonus Pool

Credit Suisse is embarking on a final year of restructuring to focus on wealth management and investment-banking advisory services.
Credit Suisse intends to increase its bonus pool for last year as the lender makes progress on its three-year restructuring plan, Bloomberg reported at the weekend, citing two unnamed sources.
The pool may increase by a low single-digit percentage, but is yet to be finalised, the news service quoted one source as saying; it added that Swiss newspaper Schweiz am Wochenende earlier reported that the pool would probably increase by about 10 per cent. Credit Suisse declined to comment, Bloomberg said.
The article did not specify whether the bonus pool applied across the entire group, including the wealth management part.
Switzerland’s second-largest bank issues fourth-quarter and full-year figures on 14 February. (Its main rival, UBS, is due to report results today.)
