Coutts Confirms Appointment Of Former JP Morgan Banker After Busy Period For Moves

Coutts, the private bank, confirmed to this publication late last week that Chris Wong, a former banker at JP Morgan, has joined the blue-blooded firm in Hong Kong.
Coutts, the private bank, confirmed to this publication late last week that Chris Wong, a former banker at JP Morgan, has joined the blue-blooded firm in Hong Kong.
Wong holds the role at Coutts of executive director, Hong Kong Market. He will report to Danny Chung, managing director and team leader of Hong Kong Market, where he will support the team on acquiring and managing client relationships in Hong Kong.
Wong has almost 15 years of experience in the banking and financial services industry. At JP Morgan he was responsible for managing high net worth client relationships in Hong Kong. Prior to this, he also held a variety of roles at AIG Private Bank, HSBC, Fubon Bank (HK) and Citibank, the bank told this publication.
A report in another publication stating that Shun Pang, a 21-year veteran of JP Morgan, had joined Coutts, was described as “unconfirmed speculation”, however, by a spokesperson for Coutts.
There have been a number of moves at Coutts in recent days. There has been a raft of appointments in the Asia-Pacific region, several involving senior Non-Resident Indian positions.
