Cordium has appointed John Davison as a partner within its expanding tax division.

Global compliance consultancy Cordium has hired John Davison as a partner within its tax division.

The appointment follows Cordium's expansion into tax services through its acquisition of UK-based HedgeStart early last year.

Davison was previously head of tax at Cooper Gay Swett & Crawford. He brings 23 years' experience in the financial services industry and joins the team of four partners led by Rob Edwards.

“Since we fully embraced tax as a service line at the start of last year through our acquisition of HedgeStart, the team has gone from strength to strength, providing the high quality service existing clients had grown accustomed to and adding many new clients along the way,” said Cordium's EMEA managing director, Stephen Burke.

“I am confident the addition of John’s considerable expertise to the team will strengthen our proposition further still.”
