The Swiss private bank Clariden Leu has launched a fund of hedge funds called the SAAF I (CH) Latin America Fund. The fund offers investors access to the fast-growing Latin American financial markets and aims at generating superior risk-adjusted absolute returns.

According to Clariden Leu, Latin America exhibits great investment potential due to favourable macroeconomic conditions.

Since the financial markets in the emerging economies will continue to be vulnerable to volatility, Clariden Leu believes that the absolute return approach will be an attractive investment alternative for those wishing to gain exposure to Latin American financial markets via a fund of hedge funds.
