Chi-X Japan Announces New President, CEO

Chi-X Japan names former head of sales Makoto Nagahori as its new president and CEO.

Chi-X Japan, the wholly owned subsidiary of alternative market operator Chi-X Global Holdings, has named a new head.

Makoto Nagahori assumes the role of president and chief operating officer in Japan after serving as head of sales since July 2013. Before Chi-X, he worked for Nomura Securities, where he held a number of senior roles including head of the electronic trading group in Tokyo. He takes over from Yasuo Hamakake, who will remain as an advisor to the ensure the orderly transition of responsibilities.

Chi-X was established in Japan in 2010. Its parent firm, Chi-X Global, also operates market centres in Australia and Canada.
