Central American Bank Adopts Temenos Systems

Swiss-based technology firm Temenos, which produces banking systems, has been chosen by Honduras-based Banco Ficohsa to provide it with its Temenos T24 system for its retail and corporate banking operations.

The bank operates 650,000 accounts in
Honduras and the

US. Banco Ficohsa signed the deal in December 2008.

The bank also selected TEMENOS ARC internet banking and mobile modules from Temenos’ suite of front office applications. These will be implemented alongside T24 to extend the single customer view across the front and back office.

T24 will replace the ABANKS solution from Arango Software, which has been in place for over a decade, to consolidate the bank’s entire operations on a single, open platform.
