Fiera Capital, the Canadian investment management firm, has introduced the Fiera Private Infrastructure Fund, providing accredited investors with access to investments in core infrastructure assets - previously only available to institutional and private wealth investors, it said.
“Broadening Fiera Capital's infrastructure offering further reinforces our presence in the realm of non-traditional investment solutions,” said François Bourdon, Fiera's chief investment solutions officer.
“We feel strongly that a wider group of investors from the retail channel should have access to and invest in infrastructure projects backed by creditworthy counterparties, opportunities which are typically limited to institutional investors,” Bourdon said.
Fiera Capital plans to invest a significant portion of its assets directly or indirectly in certain funds managed by Fiera Axium Infrastructure and its wholly-owned subsidiary Fiera Axium Infrastructure US.
“Fiera Axium” is jointly controlled by Fiera Capital and Axium Infrastructure Management; it invests in infrastructure assets across North America, within the energy, transportation and social infrastructure sub-sectors.
