Brazilian Investment House Makes Key Appointment, Plans Asian Drive

Brazil-based BTG Investments has appointed former Citadel Investment Group special situations investment manager Donald Ewer to lead its Asian credit strategy as part of an asset management expansion plan, Bloomberg reports, citing unnamed sources.

Mr Ewer recently joined the Sao Paulo-based company's Hong Kong office and will initially be responsible for handling investments on illiquid Asian credit, or credit that is not frequently traded, including high-yield bonds and private equity, the sources told the news service.

He will also be spearheading BTG's asset management expansion plans into the Asian region. An official announcement has yet to be made.
