Boston Advisors Scales Up With New Hampshire Acquisition

Boston Advisors, an SEC-registered investment firm, is expanding its presence in the northeast by partnering with New Hampshire-based Weyland Capital Management.

Boston Advisors is to acquire the assets of Weyland Capital Management, an investment advisory firm in Portsmouth, NH, in a deal that is expected to close by end-September.

Weyland manages $175 million of multi-asset portfolios for around 130 clients across the US. These clients will join Boston Advisors' private advisory group.

The new partnership will also facilitate succession planning for Weyland's chief executive, Polly Henkel, the firm said.

The combined organization is expected to manage approximately $4.8 billion in assets for over 500 clients domestically and internationally.

Boston Advisors currently has $4.5 billion in assets under management and 40 employees (as of end-June).
