Barclays Wealth Management has appointed Amy Nauiokas as head of Barclays Stockbrokers. She will report directly to Thomas Kalaris, chief executive of Barclays Wealth Management and will take up the role early in March.
Ms Nauiokas joins Barclays Stockbrokers from Barclays Capital, where she was head of e-commerce responsible for all business development, sales and marketing of the firm's eCommerce business globally, including overseeing the electronic distribution of the firm's liquidity across asset classes and the development and deployment of its trading platforms.
Peter Hall, current head of Barclays Stockbrokers, is to leave Barclays after 10 years to pursue other interests, according to a statement from the bank.
The move is seen as another strengthening of Mr Kalaris's position within Barclays Wealth Management. The former head of Barclays Capital in the US has been appointing a number of ex-Barcap managers to senior positions within wealth management.
Barclays Stockbrokers has a 20 per cent share of the UK market and has around 400,000 clients.
