Barclays Names Senior Figure For India, Global Indians Businesses
The newly-appointed manager will run and distribute investment products and services, including wealth advisory in the private bank and wealth businesses for India and the "global Indians" segments.
Barclays has appointed a senior figure in the financial industry, Hussain Selanim, as managing director, head of investments India and global Indians.
Selanim will be responsible for running and distributing all investment products and services (including wealth advisory) across the private bank and wealth arms for the India and global Indians client segments.
Based in Mumbai, Selanim will report functionally to Jean-Damien Marie, global head of investments, private bank and wealth management and locally to Nitin Singh, head of the private bank for Asia-Pacific.
Prior to this, Selanim was chief executive of CorpCare Ventures Private Limited, responsible for building an advisory business delivering investment and financing solutions to corporates and family offices. Before this, Selanim served in senior leadership roles across Citibank, UBS and, most recently, was responsible for investment product and research at Aditya Birla Finance.
