Bank Of Singapore Adds To NRI Team

The appointments show how the NRI market segment remains a significant one in a number of jurisdictions.

Bank of Singapore has appointed Harjeet Singh and Mohan Subramaniam as market heads to support growth of its non-resident India business in Southeast Asia.

The hires take effect from the start of October and they report to Rodney Sin, who will oversee the NRI segment in the region, on top of his responsibilities as global market head of Greater China and North Asia, including Japan.

"Harjeet and Mohan are veteran bankers with close to 20 years of experience serving NRI clients,” Sin said in a statement.

Singh has worked at Bank of Singapore, as MD, since March 2017; prior to this, he was an MD at BNP Pariba, and at Wealth Management. At both banks, he worked in Singapore. He also had spells at JP Morgan and Barclays. Subramaniam has worked at Bank of Singapore since September 2919; prior to that, she worked for more than three years at Citibank, also in Singapore.
