BSI Singapore Appoints New Acting CEO

This publication brings latest news on moves and hires in the Asia-Pacific wealth management industry.
BSI, the Switzerland-headquartered private bank that is in the process of being acquired by fellow Swiss firm EFG International, said today that Renato Cohn, a board member, has been named acting chief executive for BSI Singapore.
The appointment is subject to regulatory approval.
Cohn takes the helm from Raj Sriram, who is the current acting CEO. He has decided to leave the bank and spend more time with his family, BSI said in a statement. Sriram has been with BSI since 2009.
“Renato’s appointment underscores the strategic importance of both Singapore and the Asian markets for BSI and he will further improve the strong expertise of our local team,” Stefano Coduri, group CEO of BSI, said.
Cohn has been a member of the group executive board of BSI and head of ultra-high net worth development since September 2015. He has almost 20 years of experience in the banking industry, where he held several senior positions.
Before joining the bank, Cohn was co-head of BTG Pactual Wealth Management from 2009 to 2015. Before that, he served in senior positions at BTG Pactual as head of product and services and head of sales management at UBS Pactual. Cohn joined BTG Pactual and became a partner in 2004.
Previously, he worked at Banco Matrix as a head of the fixed income trading desk.
