BNY Mellon has appointed Don Quattrucci to the newly-created role of executive director for business development at the firm’s wealth management arm.

Quattrucci is based in Boston, MA, and reports to wealth management chief executive Larry Hughes.

Quattrucci will help drive BNY Mellon Wealth Management’s overall sales strategy while overseeing the firm’s growth initiative which has taken off in the past year with a strategic focus on hiring top talent across key wealth states. Quattrucci will oversee the firm’s managing directors of business development and the firm’s wealth directors across all regional markets.

Quattrucci joined BNY Mellon some 20 years ago in the capital markets group before moving to wealth management as a senior portfolio manager. His prior role at BNY Mellon was as regional president for Rhode Island, where he helped integrate a significant acquisition, BNY Mellon said.

In other recent news at BNY Mellon Wealth Management, earlier this week the firm promoted Jon Soto to managing director of portfolio management for the Florida eastern region – a new role at the firm in which he will be based in Fort Lauderale.
