BNY Mellon IM Hires Hong Kong Head Of Intermediary Distribution

The multi-boutique asset manager, which has $1.7 trillion of assets under management, has added to its team in Hong Kong.

BNY Mellon Investment Management has appointed Chris Tse as head of intermediary distribution, Hong Kong. The role is a newly-created one, the firm later confirmed to this publication.

Previously, Tse spent five years as director and regional head of business development within the firm’s Asia division, where he was responsible for leading a team and driving growth across the region. Prior to that, he held key positions at Prudential, Credit Agricole Asset Management, Franklin Templeton Investments and Manulife International.

Tse has more than 20 years of financial services industry experience, BNY Mellon said in a statement yesterday.

In his new role, he will focus on global financial institutions and private wealth managers in Hong Kong and China, providing investment solutions from BNY Mellon’s suite of investment boutiques, which encompass equities, fixed-income, private debt, real estate and private equity. Tse will report to Nicolas Kopitsis, head of intermediary distribution for the Asia-Pacific region, excluding Japan.
