BNP Paribas AM's Indonesia Arm Names President Director

The appointee has worked in investment and financial services sector for almost 30 years.

BNP Paribas Asset Management has appointed Priyo Santoso as president director of its Indonesia arm. Santoso reports to Hong Kong-based Ligia Torres, BNPP AM’s chief executive for Asia-Pacific. 

Santoso also joins the organisation’s Asia-Pacific regional leadership team, the Paris-based organisation said in a statement yesterday.

Santoso has almost 30 years of experience in the financial services and investment management industry and was most recently chief investment officer/investment group head of PT Asuransi Jiwa Generali Indonesia. Prior to that, he held various senior positions at PT Mandiri Manajemen Investasi as the firm’s chief investment officer, and PT Danareksa Investment Management as its president director.

As reported in early February, BNP Paribas’ assets under management at the end of December last year stood as follows: Asset management (€470 billion, including €30 billion from real estate investment management), wealth management (€393 billion), and insurance (€260 billion). (€470 billion = $515.7 billion as of 14 April.)
