BMO Global Asset Management Appoints Head Of Asia-Pacific
The global investment manager has appointed new leadership in the Asia-Pacific region.
BMO Global Asset Management has named Ravi Sriskandarajah as managing director and head of Asia-Pacific.
Sriskandarajah joined BMO Global Asset Management in 2013 to lead its expansion into Australia and has more than 15 years of asset management experience in senior roles.
He replaces Amit Prakash, who has been appointed managing director, global exchange traded funds and alternative investments at BMO Global Asset Management.
In his new role, Sriskandarajah will be responsible for management oversight, governance and leading the organisation's growth strategy across the region. Based in Hong Kong, he will report to both Barry McInerney, co-chief executive of BMO Global Asset Management, and Albert Yu, chief executive, Asia, of BMO Financial Group.
“Ravi is an expert in his field and has a strong financial services network in the Asia-Pacific region,” said McInerney. “Under the guidance of his experienced leadership, BMO Global Asset Management will continue to grow and innovate in this region.”
McInerney added that the firm will be recruiting for an individual to lead its institutional sales business in Australia.
BMO Global Asset Management, which is part of New York-listed BMO Financial Group, had more than C$310 billion ($228 billion) in assets under management as of the end of October 2015.
